'The Waste Land'- A title borrowed from The Waste Land by T. S. Eliot- a landmark modernist poem exploring fragmentation, disillusionment, grief, and spiritual decay in the aftermath of societal crisis.Created during the Quinn Emanuel 2024 Residency in London, this body of paintings takes inspiration from T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land, with each work responding to a different line from the poem. Approaching each painting as a character in its own right, the series explores distinct emotional states through colour, movement, and gesture.
